CRICKET: Grantham King’s School county cup final triple triumph

King’s School have been involved in three Lincolnshire county cricket cup finals this year.

The under-12 (pictured) won their county cup final. They played Lincoln Minster in a 20 over match and triumphed by 57 runs.

The team was captained by George Park who was the stand out man of the match, scoring 67no with the bat and taking two wickets for just three runs off his three overs. He was also on for a hat trick.

King’s now progress to represent Lincs in the National Finals.

There was more success for King’s when the under-15s beat William Farr School by 55 runs in their final.

King’s batted first and posted an impressive 175-0 in their 20 overs (Will Helliwell 91no and Josh Sugden 57no.

William Farr replied with 120 runs from their 20 overs.

The third success for King’s saw the under-13s beat Spalding by seven wickets in their county cup final.
