King’s School under-13s welcomed King Edward VI, Louth, to its pitch off North Parade on a glorious day last Thursday.

The Lincolnshire Under-13 Schools County Cup encounter saw King’s bat first, posting a healthy 184 for the loss of only three wickets.

Pick of the home batsmen was King’s skipper George Parks who fell just eight runs short of notching a century.

In reply, King’s held the visitors to 126-9, as Oscar Brady shone with the ball, taking 5-21, to seal a well deserved victory.
