Walton le Wolds 208

Croxton Kerrial won the toss and elected to bat and right from the start they went after the Walton bowling.

Openers Danny Aylin and Barney Gott put on 69 for the first wicket and then Aylin and Jack Dilloway 79 for the second wicket.

It was, though, the partnership between Aylin and Jamie Parkman that propelled Croxton to their huge total, the pair putting on 126 for the third wicket.

Parkman fell for 36 but it was Aylin who was the star of the innings, finishing 205no and in the process scoring his first century and the club’s first double hundred.

In reply, the visitors began well, mainly thanks to 128 from Ross, ably supported by Mayes (32) and Boulter (26).

After Ross fell, though, the innings capitulated, Chris Jeary finishing with 2-5 and Leon Aylin 6-31.
