THIRTY-six riders took part in Witham Wheelers’ ninth reliability ride of the winter.

The full distance took in a hilly 63-mile route to Melton, Tilton on the Hill and back via Oakham, with shorter routes of 38 and 56 miles another option.

Early morning sunshine lulled riders into a false sense of security, with steady rain hitting the riders around Melton and stayed with them to the finish, making for a cold, wet ride and a real sense of achievement on completion. Hot drinks and cake at the finish were especially welcome.
