CYCLING: Witham Wheelers collect silverware at annual LRRA dinner

Members of Witham Wheelers Cycling Club attended the Lincolnshire Road Riding Association’s annual dinner and prize presentation at Sleaford.

The association was also celebrating its centenary year and there were some magnificent trophies awarded to successful time trialists at a variety of distances around the county.

Wheelers juvenile Karl Baillie collected the Rowland Ashby Cup for winning the Under-16 GHS 10-mile Championship in a time of 22min 16sec.

Jim Coleman brought home two trophies. He won the 10-mile Senior Championship Cup in 20.44 and broke the championship record in the 25-mile Senior Championship with a time of 53.15 to take the R. M. Wright Cup.

Also picking up some silverware was Chris Crawford who finished first in the 25-mile Longmarkers Cup with 1.05.51.
