Witham Wheelers’ fourth reliability ride of the year saw the best day of the year so far, with frost-free roads making for stress-free riding for the 44 riders taking part.

Groups Two, Three and Four tackled a 45-mile route out through the Vale of Belvoir to Cropwell Butler into the wind, before turning back up Long Clawson hill to Waltham on the Wolds and returning via Gorse lane. Group One went for a slightly shorter 34-mile route over similar roads.

This Sunday’s ride is a rolling 48-mile 48-mile circular route down to Little Bytham. For those not sure of their abilities, there will also be a shorter route to test legs out.

The first group will leave Grantham Cricket Club in Gorse lane at 9am. All welcome. Full details and route map at www.withamwheelers.co.uk
