Grantham Town FC this week announced that Danny Meadows has signed a playing contract and confirmed his future with the club for the 2015/16 season.

Danny signed his new contract ahead of the pre-season friendly against Bardon Hill FC on Tuesday evening.

Gingerbreads assistant first team manager Danny Martin commented: “Danny is just the type of quality and committed player we are looking to join us to support the team’s progress and development for the new season.”

Grantham Town chief executive officer Keith Horton said: “I am extremely pleased to see that Danny has confirmed his future with the club, particularly as there have been other clubs looking to secure his signature.

“We look forward to watching Danny’s career develop and his contribution to a successful season.”

Town’s game at Bardon Hill ended in a 2-2 draw and saw the Gingerbreads two goals down at half time. With a changed side in the second half, Grantham levelled after the break with goals from Lee Shaw and Lee Beeson.
