DARTS: Kings and Nags triumph in Vale of Belvoir finals

Vale of Belvoir Darts League Knockout Cup Final was held at Woolsthorpe Social Club on Friday.

Contested between Bottesford Cricket Club and the Kings Arms, Scalford, it was a really good game to watch and much closer than the score suggested, the Kings Arms winning by nine games to four.

Both teams showed a degree of nervousness at the start of the match which was only to be expected, but it settled down to be a good close with some high scoring on both sides. Paul Stevenson and Nigel Long of the Kings Arms both threw a 180.

Congratulations to the Kings Arms who have had a very good season and must be close to winning the most improved side accolade.

The Memorial Cup Final was held at the Rose and Crown, Hose, also on Friday.

Played between the Nags Head, Harby, and the Bull Inn, Bottesford, after a very close game Nags won by nine games to seven.

Paul Dallaway threw a 180 for the Bull Inn.
