DARTS: Woolsthorpe’s Leadenham wins Belvoir comp at Bottesford

Vale of Belvoir Darts League’s Singles Competition was held at Bottesford Cricket Club on Friday.

The place was packed full of supporters hoping to see their team’s representatives win this prestigious event.

The darts where of a very high standard, an example being Clive Rodregus, of the Kings Arms, Scalford, who hit two 180s and still lost. Other 180s were thrown by Alan Kerney of the Rose and Crown, Hose, and Kevin Leadenham (Woolsthorpe Social Club A).

And the winner, by two legs to one after a very hard fought final, was Kevin Leadenham, beating Jamie Haynes of the Royal Horse Shoes, Waltham.

The many supporters agreed it was one of the league’s best contested singles competitions for a very long time.
