Dona beats PB by 43 seconds

Grantham AC’s Dean Houlton competed in the Tim Wealthall Mile race in Nottingham, finishing in a time of 5 mins 20.4 secs

On Saturday the athletic Club’s parkrunners were active at Lincoln and Newark.

Dona Hall (pictured), coached by husband Richard, managed to reduce her personal best time by a massive 43 seconds.

She clocked 33 mins 32 secs for 201st with Richard crossing the line in 33 mins 33 secs a place behind.

At Newark, Janice Anderson finished in 28th in 25 mins 01 secs and John Ellerby was 49th in 26 mins 52 secs.

On Monday, Arthur Short and Phil Hall tackled the Grimsthorpe 10k.

It was Arthur’s 22nd consecutive race at the venue, having competed in every race since the inaugural event in 1993.
