FOOTBALL: First Grantham league trophies shared between Barrowby White Swan and Beehive United who meet again this evening

This season’s first Grantham and District Saturday Football League cup competitions were decided over the past two Fridays.

White Swan Barrowby were involved in both finals, and enjoyed mixed fortunes.

Last Friday, White Swan overcame Caythorpe 4-1 in the Memorial Cup, but the Barrowby side faced tougher opposition on Friday in the form of Beehive United who defeated the villagers 2- 0 to claim the Grantham Hospital Charity Cup.

Beehive have the chance to do the double over White Swan in the Culverthorpe Cup final tonight (Friday) at Harrowby United’s ground, 7.45pm.
