Grantham Town’s pre-season friendlies continued with a visit to United Counties League Premier Division side Sleaford Town last Friday night.

The Gingerbreads triumphed 6-2 over The Greens in a confidence-boosting performance that included another goal from ex-Harrowby United front man Danny Durkin, with Danny Meadows, Stefan Galinski and Grant Ryan among the other Grantham scorers.

Having been spoilt for goals on Friday, Gingerbreads fans witnessed a goalless affair against old rivals King’s Lynn Town at The Meres on Tuesday evening (see full report).

Grantham’s next friendly match sees them welcome Mansfield Town to The Meres on Tuesday night.

A busy pre-season campaign has seen The Stags win at Rainworth Miners Welfare and Carlton Town, win at home to Bolton Wanderers, draw at Clipstone and Matlock Town, while they lost this week to Hull City.

Kick-off on Tuesday is 7.45pm.

On Thursday, Grantham Town visit Ashby Avenue to take on Lincoln United, now managed by former Gingerbread Sam Wilkinson – son of ex-Town boss John Wilkinson.

Kick-off 7.45pm.
