A village football pitch and two centrally heated changing rooms are going unused as, seemingly, no teams are interested in utilising the excellent facilities.

Skillington Village Hall committee’s Michaael Sheehan contacted the Journal to ask if we could appeal for any teams to come forward if they are looking for a new home.

The well-maintained modern facilities include a separate changing room for match officials and copious amounts of hot water, with a kitchen and main hall available if required.

Michael said the facilities were “just begging to be used”. He said: “So where are the teams? Why are they not lining up?”

He said they had tried all manner of ways to get teams interested, including contacting councils and utilising social media – but all to no avail.

Any teams interested in knowing more can contact Michael on 07790 914198 or Maria on 07500 544449
