Mickleover Royals 4

Barrowby 0

The Swans were rocked when they went 1-0 down on the stroke of half-time, and never really got back in the hunt.

Despite the long journey to Derbyshire they started brightly and Sheen showed his pace after six minutes with a dangerous delivery across the box which failed to get a touch.

Good work from Green saw him release Watson after 12 minutes and his cross had the Royals keeper clambering to tip over the bar.

The best chance fell to Hardy after 15 minutes when his low drive was brilliantly tipped around the post after a piece of trickery from Sheen.

The Royals began to have chances and Swans could thank Flavell for keeping the scores level when after a one on one he saved low to his right when a goal seemed certain.

Barrowby conceded the first when a ball was played into a crowded box and through the melee the Royals striker poked in from two yards out.

Swans tried to pick themselves up after the break but the momentum was with the home side and Flavell was again called into action with a spectacular double save.

Flavell, though, couldn’t stop the second goal when his save trickled behind him and was touched home, and the game was put out of sight on 63 minutes when a superb ball into the central channel caught the Barrowby defence on the back foot.

Royals confirmed victory on 74 minutes when their fourth came with a low shot into the net.
