Beehive United 6

IN what looked like a tricky game on paper against an in-form Ancaster, Beehive ran out comfortable winners.

Playing against a strong wind, United got off to a perfect start when Stinson tapped home after a Dos Santos mistake.

Beehive dictated play, with man of the match Bob Walker pulling all the strings in midfield.

Midway through the first half, Ancaster had a great chance to equalise with a one-on-one but Johnson was quickly off his line to make a smart save.

A fine through-ball from Walker fouond Reidy and he smashed home United’s second. Reidy gave Beehive a 3-0 half time lead when he rounded Dos Santos and slotted home.

A lully in the first 20 minutes of the second half saw Ancaster push Beehive back, but were unable to get a shot on goal with the outstanding Mills, Breden and O’Callaghan in defence.

Walker put United four up after good work from Towle and Bolland, and Stinson’s cool finish made it five. New signing Simon Bolland’s left foot completed the rout.

Ancaster man of the match was Owen Sheridan.
