GRANTHAM made a late signing last week on the eve of the game at Belper Town. The dismissal of Dave Frecklington as manager at Shepshed Dynamo paved the way for Rob Norris to make a welcome return to The Meres for his third spell at the club.

Rob first signed for John Wilkinson in the 2007-8 season, making his debut on October 27 in a 3-1 win against Stocksbridge Park Steels. A substitute on that day, Rob started the next game and notched his first goal for Grantham with the winner against Spalding on Boxing Day. By the end of the season, he had made 40 appearances and scored 12 goals.

When Wayne and Jimmy took charge at the start of last season, Rob returned with them and made another 30 appearances.

Rob once again started his third spell at Grantham as a substitute, coming on in the second half on Saturday.
