Grantham Town beaten by Stocksbridge

Have your say

GRANTHAM Town were beaten 2-1 at the Meres today against league strugglers Stocksbridge Park Steels.

Stocksbridge recorded their first league win of the season after taking a 2-0 lead in the first half.

The visitors’ first came from a stunning free kick before a wayward pass from Town’s Rhys Lewis gifted a second.

Sam Puricoe brought Grantham back into it with a back post header but, despite dominating possession, the Gingerbreads could not find a second.
