Grantham joint managers Gary Sucharewycz and Ian Robinson have wasted no time in starting their summer work. The pair have tied up deals with a number of the squad which finished the season so well on Saturday.
Nathan Watson heads up a list of eight players who have agreed terms for the 2013-14 season in what Sucharewycz says is only the start of their plans for next season: “We wanted to make it our priority to speak to all of this season’s squad as soon as we possibly can, about next season.”
Watson agreed terms along with Jamie McGhee, Greg Smith and Rhys Lewis. Tommy Hannigan and Kallum Smith have also agreed to stay and there will be competition for the number one shirt again, as both James Martin and Jake Turner will be at The Meres next season.
“We are still talking to a number of players,” Sucharewycz said. “With holidays we can’t get everyone we want settled just yet, but we are also talking to a number of new signings.”
Town defender Lee Ridley will act as player-coach next season.
+ Admission to Town games will remain at £10 for adults next season, with concessions and under-16s reduced to £6 and accompanied children under-10 free.
Season ticket prices are £180 for adults and £108 concessions, with a £10 reduction for both if purchased on or before May 18.
