Grantham Town return to action at The Meres tomorrow (Saturday) for an FA Trophy first round qualifer against Rymans League Division One side Soham Town Rangers.

The Cambridgeshire side are currently 18th in their league with 14 points from 13 games. In the last round of the Trophy they defeated NPL Division One South outfit Newcastle Town 1-0 at home.

Grantham joint boss Gary Sucharewycz said: “There is nothing better than a cup run of any sort in any competition.

“A run in the FA Trophy will go a long way to doing that. We know we can’t take anything for granted. Soham are only a league below us and they are going to be up for it.

“We know a bit about their danger players, but we know that if we do what we do well, we will give ourselves the best chance we can of getting the win.”

Kick-off is 3pm and admission is £10 adults, £6 concessions, and under-16s free with an adult.

Should the game end in a draw, the replay will be at Soham on Tuesday at 7.45pm. Otherwise, Grantham’s midweek game will be Whitby on Wednesday night.

+ The Gingerbreads Soccer School runs every Saturday between 10.30am and 11.30am. It is for anyone aged between seven and 11 who wants some coaching and fun. Cost is £4 per child for a session or £20 for six weeks. Meet in the stadium foyer.
