Harrowby United 5

Another tough away encounter for the Young Arrows at Ruston Sports, where it seemed even mid-table teams up their game to try to halt Harrowby’s unbeaten run.

After a nervous opening few minutes, the Arrows took the lead with a clinical finish by striker Matt Cox.

Harrowby had the advantage for only a short while as the home side brought the scores level after a failed clearance.

For the remainder of the half, Harrowby began to dominate the game and after a goalmouth scramble, Henry Dilley restored the Arrows’ lead.

Several chances were squandered and the post and crossbar were struck on two occasions, but eventually Kye Hull slammed home number three before the half time whistle.

The deadly duo of Cox and Hull each added to the scoreline in the second period to put the game beyond Rustons’ reach, even though they pulled a goal back towards the end of the game.

Korban Read had an exceptional game in goal, deputising for the injured Ward, however man of the match was Bradley Johnson who put in a great shift in defence

Pegasus 2

Barrowby 5

In their most physical game so far, Barrowby had to work extremely hard to bring the three points back to Grantham.

The home side were in uncompromising form and tackled hard in midfield. However, when Barrowby played their passing game, they always looked likely to score.

Goal scorers were Ludew, Cann, Brewill and Dudley.

Man of the match was Dudley.
