Free entry for Armed Forces at Grantham Town match of Remembrance

Grantham Town take on Hyde United in the Northern Premier League Premier Division tomorrow (Saturday) in a match of Remembrance.

On the day, the club will remember those who have served and are still serving in the Armed Forces.

All current members of the Armed Forces are invited to the game and will get free entry into the match at The Meres.

Both sides are to be led out by veterans Roy Church and Peter Wetherall. A minute’s silence will be held prior to kick-off, which will be heralded by the playing of the Last Post. John Knightall, from the Grantham branch of the British Legion, will be in attendance with their branch standard.

Grace Knightall, Honorary Poppy Appeal organiser for the Grantham district, will be on hand to make sure all of the Gingerbreads supporters and visitors have their 2015 poppy, and she will also have her stall with more items to help the cause.

Kick-off is 3pm.
