Grantham Town FC have announced the launch of a Football Development Centre for Grantham, in partnership with Grantham College.

The centre will launch from September 2015 and is for those who want to become a semi-professional footballer or are interested in the management and coaching side of the game.

Players will receive a minimum of six hours coaching a week and will also gain academic qualifications, and play matches in a similar level competitive league.

Study will be for between one and three years, depending on the individual, with players able to study for the FA Level 1 coaching badge.

There will be an interview and trials before joining the course.

Representatives from Grantham College and Grantham Town will be at the college’s next open evening on Stonebridge Road on Monday (February 2), between 5pm and 8pm, to answer any questions from anyone interested in joining the development centre.
