Four Lincolnshire hockey players are gunning for gold at the Olympics.

Boston-born pair Crista Cullen and Hannah Macleod, Dry Doddington’s Shona McCallin and Lincoln’s Georgie Twigg all featured in last night’s 3-1 quarter-final victory over Spain.

Twigg, Helen Richardson-Walsh and Lily Owsley got the all-important goals for Team GB, who topped Group B after winning all five of their games.

Their Rio 2016 quest continues tomorrow night with a semi-final clash against New Zealand (9pm).
