GOLF: Grantham Town Terry Bly Memorial day a success despite inclement weather

Grantham Town’s annual Terry Bly Memorial Trophy golf day took place at Belton Park on Monday.

Twenty-seven teams of four contested the Stableford Am-Am competition, with two scores counting on each hole and all four on the eighth. Maximum handicap for gents was 24 and ladies 36, the latter receiving three courtesy shots. Handicap allowance was 3/4.

Despite the very weather and unseasonable weather, a good time was had by all and event organiser Nigel Marshall of Grantham Town FC expressed his thanks to Belton Park and to all the hole sponsors.

K. Pang and K. Lam 82; nearest the pin in two, on 3rd – Simon Pullen, on 16th – Terry Fox; nearest the pin, on 6th – David Hope, on 14th – Simon Pullen.
