Grantham's Ian Spridgens came out on top in the Northern Shooting Show Bell Target County Championships which took place at the Cross Roads public house, East Barkwith.

The competition was fiercely fought out over the night but in the end Ian finally took the top spot. Ian came through every round with the perfect score of 25.5 points which was a massive achievement in itself.

Ian has suffered from strokes and he was competing against able-bodied competitors.

Ian said: “This is a massive achievement for me as I’ve only just started shooting this amazing discipline and to end up the Lincolnshire county champion shows me and others anything is possible when you put your mind to it."
