Grantham Town gave Northern Premier League leaders Blyth Spartans a run for their money at Croft Park on Saturday.

But the Gingerbreads received no reward for their battling performance in front of a crowd of 821.

Ultimately, the only difference between the two sides was a single Robbie Dale goal on 22 minutes, to which Grantham were unable to reply.
