Grantham Town’s Meres defibrillator is for the use of all

Have your say

Grantham Town is the latest club to take up the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League initiative to obtain a defibrillator.

The equipment has been delivered and is a facility for every user of The Meres stadium – not just for Grantham Town.

The football club used around £600 of money it raised at its last golf day to fund the defibrillator, which was also partly funded by the league’s initiative.

Paramedic Nick Sentance will be demonstrating how to use the equipment in the MCS Centre at the stadium on Trent Road on Wednesday (February 12), starting at 7pm.

The event is for all users of the stadium, such as athletics clubs.

No official qualification is required to use the equipment or to learn how to use it, just basic first aid skills.
