Harrowby United boss Fardell resigns

United Counties League Premier Divsion side Harrowby United have announced the resignation of manager Mark Fardell.

The club issued the following statement on Tuesday: “Mark’s resignation is for personal reasons. We would like to extend our thanks to Mark for his commitment and invaluable support to the club since its resurrection three seasons ago.

“His commitment, dedication and professionalism throughout that time were second to none and he was a credit to the club.

“Everyone involved at Harrowby United are sorry to see Mark leave and thank him for his endless contribution and wish him well for the future.”

The club said assistant manager Simon Mayes would take charge of first team duties for the time being.
