LADIES’ FOOTBALL: Harrowby United to hold ladies’ training on Sunday

Following their successful open days for under-12 to 16 girls, Harrowby United’s first training session for ‘open age’ ladies’ football (16 years and over, as of June 1, 2016) will take place on Sunday.

This first session will be held from 11am to 1pm, at the club’s Environcom Stadium in Dickens Road, off Harrowby Lane.

The session is free and players will learn to play competitive football under the guidance of FA-qualified coaches and an experienced manager.

The club’s ultimate aim is to form a team to compete in a local ladies’ football league.

No experience is necessary; just pop along with boots, shinpads, waterproofs and a drink. Both groups and individuals will be welcomed.

Prospective players might want to check on Harrowby United Ladies FC Facebook page in case of cancellation threats due to inclement weather.
