MARTIAL ARTS: Grantham kickathon raises money for Scout hut floor

A total of 83 Grantham East West Freestyle Martial Arts students, 1st Barrowby Scouts, Cubs, Beavers, Brownies and Guides all came together to take part a kickathon to raise money for the Scout hut to get a new floor.

The leaders and instructors got together to find a fun way of raising money. The total is still going up as the sponsorship money is still coming in, but it is thought they have raised around £600

The event took place at The Gingerbread club at Grantham Town FC and between them all they managed a whopping 47,490 kicks.

Jo Copeland said: “We are extremely proud of everyone who took part and who helped raise money, and look forward to seeing the money put to work with the new floor.”
