MARTIAL ARTS: Sleaford Tae Kwon-do students receive belt upgrades

Sleaford Tae Kwon-do Club’s latest belt grading was presided over by Grandmaster David Oliver (9th degree black belt), president of Tae Kwon-do International and TKDA chairman.

He was welcomed to the club by instructors Worldmaster Malcolm Scholes (7th degree black belt), Jill Pearce (6th degree black belt) and Daniel Pearce (5th degree black belt).

Belt gradings were as follows: 1st Kup Red Belt - Frances Arnold; 2nd Kup Red Belt - Mohammed Sahil, Thomas Parker; 4th Kup Blue Belt - Heather Hardy, Yashodha Silva; 5th Kup Green Belt - Konrad Smil, Lucas Hill, Chloe Moore, Abigail Bailey; 6th Kup Green Belt - Hayden Marshall, Vidhu Silva, Bianca Pereira, Yixuan Xie, Zane Pinder, Lewis Page; 7th Kup Yellow Belt - Joseph McKenna, Alan Clayton, Krystian Kaczmarski; 8th Kup Yellow Belt - Joshua Ellis, Thomas Clayton; 9th Kup White Belt - Steven Evans, Dale Williams, Asha Matthan-Rogers, Anna Wilkinson, Oliver Lines, Miyah White, Lacee Williams, Delicia Johnson, Ethan Hague-Wright.

A squad of members from Sleaford will be representing the club at the Midlands Championships at Kettering in July. Junior and adult students will be competing in various disciplines throughout the day.
