Support is needed to help put on a Memorial Darts Open competition in memory of the late Dusty Kettel.
David “Dusty” Kettel, of Eaton, was a local darts legend who also played at national level. He made 109 appearances for the Lincolnshire county team. He died aged 61 in 2006 after a long fight with cancer.
Competition organiser David Pearson is looking for some sponsors to guarantee a handsome first prize in honour of Dusty, for the all-day event that is likely to attract players from far and wide.
David said: “I’m sure we will get a good response as Dusty was so well known.”
