The men’s section of Belton Woods held the annual Captain’s Away Day competition for the Art Ozolins Trophy at Retford on Sunday.

Held in memory of the late Art Ozolins, a well liked and respected member of the club, this year’s competition was contested by 44 golfers, with Annan Galloway coming out on top with 40 points, on countback from Harry McKeen. Not far behind in third was Graham Bell on 39.

Art’s widow Rina donated the magnificent trophy three years ago and was on hand to present the prizes.

All proceeds from the day went to club captain Colin Sneesby’s nominated charity, the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance.
