Belvoir Karate Group has enjoyed further success with three members being awarded their 1st Dan black belts.

After training for an average of five years apiece, Jim Anderson, Garry Brown and Adam Smith were examined by Sensei Brian Seabright, 8th Dan chairman of the British Karate Association, at Manchester at the end of last month.

Both Garry and Jim started their training with Belvoir Karate and now join the group’s senior black belt ranks, whilst Adam joined BKG as a brown belt and, at the age of 14, is the group’s first juniorj 1st Dan.

The black belt is the culmination of several years’ devoted training and represents hard work and dedication.
