MARTIAL ARTS: Grantham’s Keyse wins gold at British Tae Kwon-Do Championships

Grantham Tae Kwon-Do club finished the year on a high after Matthew Keyse brought back gold from the Open British Tae Kwon-Do Championships at Cardiff over the weekend.

Matthew fought through several preliminary rounds in the men’s red belt sparring and progressed to the final, which he won, taking the gold medal and British title for the club.

Clubmate Philip Lee claimed bronze in the semi-final of the men’s yellow belt sparring.

l Last weekend, students from the Grantham and Corby Glen-based clubs entered the last grading of the year at the King’s School and achieved a 100 per cent pass rate, under the guidance of Tae Kwon-Do grand master and eighth degree black belt David Oliver.
