Bottesford rower Callum Jones has gone one step further towards gaining selection for Great Britain.

Callum put in a promising performance at the recent GB seniors’ long distance trials as he seeks a place in the under-23 team, and he has now been invited to GB squad altitude training in Spain.

At just 18 years old, Callum was the youngest of those to be invited to join the established under-23 internationals and older rowers on the fringe of the GB senior team.

He flew out to the Spanish Sierra Nevada last Friday for 11 days of intensive training and conditioning at the 2,500m high Spanish Altitude Training Centre.
