A duo from Grantham Swimming Club delivered some outstanding performances at the weekend.
Up against some of the top teenage swimmers, Hayley Milne and Leah Roughan were competing at the ASA Central Zone Championships in Corby.
Hayley stormed the 100m breaststroke in her disability class, improving by three seconds and winning a gold medal.
Leah dominated the field in her breaststroke races, setting new county records at 50m, 100m and 200m. She also swam superbly in the 200m and 400m individual medley, finishing first in both events and achieving massive personal best improvements.
Two other Grantham swimmers qualified and also represented the club at the event. Molly Colbert gained some valuable experience at swimming in a 50m pool at this level. She swam the 100m and 200m freestyle and showed some solid racing skills.
Sophie Culpin swam 200m butterfly but narrowly missed qualifying for the finals. Both Molly and Sophie set new long-course club records.
