Cliffedale Chandlers table tennis club were represented by three teams in a National Cadet League tournament in Wellingborough on Sunday.

All the players shone in a gruelling event schedule which saw each playing three others in their division, with every player having nine best of five-set matches.

All threes teams played well and exceeded expectations, with two players standing out – both Ben Rigby and Alexandra Robinson both achieved 100 per cent victories and were congratulated at the end of the tournament.

Cliffedale Chandlers chairman Darran Leete said he was pleased to see another improvement over the success in December and challenged the teams to match or better their results in the next tournament on 23 March

Cliffedale Chandlers train at The Meres leisure centre table tennis centre on Tuesdays, Fridays and two sessions on a Saturday, and cater for both juniors and adults, beginners or past players. Invited players can also train in the Regional High Performance Group on Mondays.
