Have your say

CLIFFEDALE Chandlers players Nathan Butler, Grace Potter and Jessica Easter travelled to the Burton Uxbridge two-star tournament.

After facing tough completion through the under-13 group and knockout stages, both Nathan and Grace went on to win in style.

Nathan beat local player Lewis Acton to claim the trophy, and Grace came out on top against Amy Blagborough (Hampshire), whom she had not previously beaten, a fine way for Nathan and Grace to end their respective under-13 years.

Grace’s fine form continued when she also went on to beat the top ranked player in the group stage and then win the Cadet Girls event by beating Shreya Mehta in the final.

l Nathan Butler, Matthew Leete and Beth Cook took part in a two-star tournament at Northfields, Middlesborough, and they all had some tough matches.

Matthew reached two semi-finals and a final of the under-13s, ending runner-up to Alec Ward (Cleveland).

Beth had a fantastic day, winning the girls Cadet final 3-1 against Eleanor Davidson (Cleveland). Later on in the day Beth won the Junior Plate final against Sophie Barlow (Cleveland), also 3 - 1.
