OLIVIA Churchill is the latest member of Cliffedale Chandlers Table Tennis Club to be selected for England.
Olivia’s recent success at the ETTA Cadet Masters earned her a place in the England Cadets girls’ team.
She will be representing her country this week at the Six Nations Cadet Championships which begin in Zwolle, Switzerland, on Thursday.
* Olivia and fellow England Cadet team member and clubmate Adam Harrison, represented the Midlands in the UK School Games, with their team winning the overall gold medal.
The games played a vital part in the trial run-up to the Olympics, with international and national umpires Peter May and Alex Mercer members of the officiating team.
* Eight local schools took part in an Olympic Table Tennis Tournament organised by Cliffedale Chandlers and sponsored by M. T. Windows.
All competitors received Olympic certificates and medals for the first three places.
