FIFTEEN-year-old Adam Harrison competed in the Junior Table Tennis Masters in Burton on Trent last weekend.
The tournament was for the top 12 ranked juniors in the country plus two wild cards who are selected based on their form and performances this season.
Seeded eighth, Adam had to play the seven players above him on the saturday. He played exceptionally well although he only beat two of those seven, just missing out on another two with 3-2 scorelines.
With only two victories, Adam was now placed towards the bottom but had the consolation of having the hardest matches out of the way.
On the Sunday, Adam won five out of his six matches and the only match he lost was 3-2. He played very well again and was very happy with his performance.
Overall, with winning seven matches he was placed sixth which was higher than his original seeding and a great achievement in such a tough tournament.
