Aa Grantham Tae Kwon-Do exponent has reached the high grade of fourth degree black belt.

Twenty-nine year old Leigh Bridge received news of the black belt grading from the Bristol Tae Kwon-Do Academy.

The panel who judged him was a team of five 8th Dan masters and one 9th Dan grandmaster. The test included fighting skills, self defence techniques, shadow sparring, and power and accuracy tests by breaking boards.

Leigh started training 16 years ago for fitness and self defence. Since then he has gained many friends in the martial arts world. His other achievements include passing as a qualified umpire referee and instructor.

Leigh trains under the guidance of area instructor, Malcolm Scholes, 7th degree black belt.
