Grantham Tennis Club men’s winter first team took on the second string in a tense battle.

Both battled well until the end with the firsts proving too strong with the team comprising Paul White, Simon Cormor, Andrew Isaac, Darren Taxis, John Quinn and James Drennan. The seconds were Colin Walton, Rob Isaac, Adam Bramley, Mark Ottey, Nigel Birch and Ed Milner.

l The Mini Green team travelled to Caunton at the weekend to take on Maskills Raskals Green in the Nottingham League. The team comprised Heidi-Louise Roberts, Jake Gibbons and Alex Ward, and they played some extremely good tennis to cruise to a 7-2 victory over a strong home side.

The Mini Oranges also visited Caunton on the same day and enjoyed another emphatic win.

The team of Elliot Fisher, Martha Patton and Eve Kimberley played some amazing tennis, showing their experience and putting in a great amount of effort, to march away with a 9-0 victory.
