GRANTHAM Tennis Club’s Andrew Isaac recently represented Lincolnshire at The All England Lawn Tennis Club at Wimbledon against the winnners of the HSBC Road to Wimbledon from 43 other counties.
He spent a week at Wimbledon playing on the grass, with one match on a show court just outside centre court.
Andrew was knocked out of the main draw and entered into the consolation draw. He won the final of the consolation against Ryan Bainbridge from Durham.
The picture shows Andrew being presented with the winner’s trophy by Tim Henman and Angela Barrett (nee Mortimer), the 1961 Wimbledon ladies’ singles champion.
