After a two week break, the Balfe Motorsport team of Shaun Balfe and Rob Bell will be back in action with their McLaren 650S this weekend, competing in the International GT Open at the Hungaroring.

The Hungarian Grand Prix circuit is notorious for its soaring temperatures and the forecast suggests the same for this visit.

“The temperature will play a major part with tyres and set-up, but this time we will be racing free of the penalties at the pitstops for the first time since the first round at Estoril,” said Ancaster-based Balfe.

Having been handed a power reduction in the last round at Paul Ricard, it proved to be a tough weekend at the southern French circuit.

The duo are still in the challenge for the Pro Am title in second place, however and eighth in the overall standings despite being up against works-backed teams.

“We hope to have the right balance and performance to be right in there, back in the fight for the title,” added Balfe.

The first race is on Saturday at 3.05pm (UK time) with Sunday’s starting at 1.15pm. Both can be viewed in the UK on the BT Sport channel.
