NETBALL: Fenland U12 work as a team to record victory over Boston

A fantastic match from the Grantham Fenland Netball Club’s under-12s against Boston saw them coming together and working and gelling as a team.

The first quarter saw them straight into the match with an early one goal lead.

Tight defence from Eleni (GD) and Cara (GK) saw missed opportunities from Boston won in the circle. Natalie (WD) and Edie (C) saw the ball through the court to Amelie at (WA).

Fenland led 6-4 going into half time.

The third quarter saw great shooting from GS Martha and GA Freya, whilst working the circle with supporfrom Edie and Amelie on the edge. Great rebounds from defence denied Boston goals to take the quarter and extend the lead to a convincing 11-5.

Boston came back in the fourth but it wasn’t enough and Fenland ran out 14-8 victors.

Player of the match was Eleni.
