Barkston 139 all out

Belvoir Colts 72 all out

LUKE Holdsworth enjoyed an amazing day with the ball for Belvoir in their defeat to Barkston.

The 18-year-old bowled nine overs and took nine wickets, conceding just 13 runs in the process.

With Belvoir winning the toss and electing to bowl, they got off the a dream start thanks to Luke’s fantastic opening eight-over spell of 5-13.

Barkston’s mainstay was Alex Ingram who took hold of the Belvoir attack with an aggressive 72 not out.

The finale to the innings was Luke’s return to the bowling attack. His first over consisted of a four-wicket maiden – including a hat trick – to finish the Barkston innings on 139.

In reply, Belvoir struggled with the run chase from the start, losing a wicket in the first over – and from then on it was a steady collapse to 72 all out.
