POINT-TO-POINT: Quorn meeting to feature horses from Grantham area stables at Garthorpe

Tomorrow’s Quorn point-to-point meeting at Garthorpe Racecourse will feature horses from Barrowby trainer Antonia Bealby and Waltham’s Tommy Morgan, in a bumper entry of 122 for eight races.

The highlight of the day’s racing is the Quorn Gold Cup which has attracted a wealth of talent. There are nine entries including Mr Madeit, Monsieur Jourdain, Panama Canal and the well-fancied Thetalkinghorse. The Ladies’ Open race which follows will also showcase some of the best horses around, including Palypso De Creek, which is unbeaten for two whole seasons.

Attractions also include trade stands, bookmakers and a jazz band. Admission and racecard is £10.
