Weekend rugby union preview.

Kesteven under-12s continued in what is proving to be an excellent season with a double victory over Lincoln on Sunday.

The squad, having turned a major corner this season by playing as a team unit, are a match for any opposition – as Lincoln found out to their cost.

After an even start in game one, Kesteven pressure started to tell on their opponents when they drove over for the first score. Good rucking and mauling enabled this and further tries by Will Edwards, Dan Addlesee, James Jackson and George Whinney.

An impressive defensive display kept Lincoln from scoring and resulted in a 20-0 victory.

The second game was much the same, with improved passing down the line when in possession. Tries were scored by Harrison, Alfie Carrington, Whinney, Evan Clarke and Addlesee.

Lincoln responded with one try of their own as Ks ran out 25-5 winners.

This performance came on the back of recent wins against Stamford, Peterborough, Sleaford and West Bridgford.
