A trio of King’s School students recently represented Leicester Tigers under-15s in their 34-22 victory over Gloucester at Oval Park.
James Newman, Connor Slack and Callum Slack were part of this season’s very successful under-15 King’s side that reached the last 16 of the Daily Mail competition for the first time in the school’s history.
Also in the Tigers set-up are Josh Latham, Joshua Hubbard and Jordan Slack.
King’s School head of rugby Cathal McHugh said that all three boys were a credit to the school and Newark Rugby Club for whom the trio play.
Cathal said: “All three boys that were selected and all six boys that are in the set-up deserve to be there because of their hard work and dedication to their rugby.
“It is a privilege to be the head of rugby to a group of such committed talented young players. The future of rugby in the area is bright with these local boys coming through the ranks.”
